REFLECTION LETTER July2006

I want to thank God for being so gracious to me in showing me the mistakes that I have made this month. He has shown me the 3 areas of my life that I have to work very hard on.

First: Service

I sometimes bring all the anger, troubles, anything that is bothersome (e.g. exams, quarrels with people) which I have gathered throughout the weekdays into service. And thus I really cannot concentrate and focus on God.
But I have learnt that what I am actually doing is going in self-centeredness and saying “this is my problem, my issue, I have to handle this first, You can wait”
So what I must do is to just get my focus back onto God, which is to focus on my purpose (to learn God’s word) and not on my problem.

Second: Evangelism

I have realized that I have been avoiding evangelism for quite some time.
It hit me big when I went to the romans trial and they had given all of us there this form, written on it was “how many friends have you shared the gospel with this month?”
I know that I have not been doing that apart from street E because I have to be accountable to the leaders. BUT that should not be my attitude, because in the long run, when there is no one checking up on me, will I still be sharing the gospel???
AND there is no excuse for me not to tell others about Christ because it is what God has called us to do

Matthew 28:18-20
18And Jesus came up and spoke to them, saying, "All authority has been given to Me in heaven and on earth.
19"Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit,
20 teaching them to observe all that I commanded you; and lo, I am with you always, even to the end of the age."

Third: My Heart - Matt7:24-27

I find myself finding myself OK, in the sense that I think my walk with God is “quite good” and I have also had the mentality that man is sinful and thus it’s “normal” to fall back into sin sometimes. But what I did was to deceive myself that at least I tried…at least, like the foolish builder who built his house on sand, and like him in the long run when trials and temptations come (wind, rain, flood) I will fall.
So what I have learnt is to be like the wise builder who built his house on a firm foundation, even though it is harder to build, but it is also lasting.
I have also learnt that every time we persevere through a trial, it is like adding a few more stones to the house to make it stronger so we are ready for the next one.

And all this we do because we Love Him.

Matthew7:24-27

24"Therefore everyone who hears these words of Mine and acts on them, may be compared to a wise man who built his house on the rock.
25"And the rain fell, and the floods came, and the winds blew and slammed against that house; and yet it did not fall, for it had been founded on the rock.
26"Everyone who hears these words of Mine and does not act on them, will be like a foolish man who built his house on the sand.
27"The rain fell, and the floods came, and the winds blew and slammed against that house; and it fell--and great was its fall."

So am I willing to go the extra mile for God?

I am here to prove that guys do HAVE a passion for writing.....sometimes . haha

OK ... i have officially had my very own 3 day holiday, YEAH !!! nah its becos i was sick.

It was only on thursday night that it became worst, my troat was at its ultimate peak cos it really really hurt alot everytime i swallowed. So i had to eat this strepsil thing before i could go back and sleep,which was gonna take some time.

So i decided to just sit down and talk to God for that period of time, i told Him all my troubles and stuff and after that AMAZINGLY i felt great, I felt this real relief.

Soo resting is not a waste of time and true rest be it physical or spiritual is found in the Lord.

Matt 11:28
Come to Me, all who are weary and heavy-laden, and I will give you rest.

Psalms 23
The Lord is my sheperd, I shall not want.
He makes me lie down in green pastures;
He leads me beside quiet waters.

He guides me in the paths of righteousness
For His name's sake.

But Yeah still quite badd

WHOO HOOO !!!! went cyclin yesterday and today, it was G.R.E.A.T , i also got to really see how awesome God is by what He has created, it also changed my point of view that singapore is real boring which it is'nt now.

Thanks to andreas who brought me to some cool path that led to some cool constuction site that is next to the new golf course that they are building. Except that today was cooler cause it rained in the morning and yeah, it was REAL MUDDY !!! so were we.

After that we cycled back to east coast and had some GREAT ROTI JOHN and than to the cool spot at the beach . YOU CAN ACTUALLY SEE STARS HERE !!!!......

Really like to thank God that he has really blessed me alot with you guys and singapore.

Today was not such a good day to begin with, YYYYYYYYY FRANCE !!!!! noooo, but their still pro la.

And surprisingly I paid like full attention to the teacherz today, there was like a lot of new teacherz and one not so bad loooking one ..ahem .

HAHA . . . my grandma gave me dinner at 4.30pm ..... thatz like supaaa early . .. and she still insisted that it was already late . haha .

BRAZIL FOREVA !!! and a lil in France

Today i learned the definition of foolishness which is to give in to the crowd , which is quite true as we are already chosen to be set apart from the world and already KNOW what we must do , so is'nt it foolishness to give in to the crowd ?

Today was kinda cool , cos the radio had all the cool songs when becky left the youthroom HAHA. like dincing in da moonlight REMIX it was kinda cool.

Today..... learnz lotz of stuff in leviticus e.g. do we see the seriousness of sin and do we respond to it with a sincere heart ??? Do we take God's grace for granted when we are ignorant ? ....yeah quite a few Qz to think about.

After Church we went to changi airport to eat some not-so-bad chicken and weird tastin cajun fries . Than i went out wif my folks to this cool restaurant, had some sweet & sour pork , some chilli crab , deep fried sotong , hotplate tofu and seasme chicken . WHOO HOOO . i can almost taste it.

Than in the night went to East Coast wif dre, romanz and the monsterz . we played some weird seaweed game than they went back.

BUT THE BEST PART of the day was when me and dre went into some freaky toilet where moth and rust destroy, he was gonna pee on a cockroach when the toilet SUDD flushed and we screamed like gal scoutz and ran outta there. wad a cool freaky toilet, haha.

WHOO HOO...tmr swimin again

and im 15 !!!!!

Yesterday was a really great day, had swimin and than a cozy lil party for all the july babies (HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!!) and the swimin pool was supaa COOL!!! it was like a giant jacuzzi thing !!! but the second time we went in .... got caught by the guard (not in proper attire) ..... wa liao .... than had to wear those super super tight spandex !!! branded arena, it felt like a fully clothed g-sting ..... so yeah onli swam for awhile ........
