School school school. Hey if u say it a few more times it ain't so bad.
Well its back to school, back to all the mugging. I was thinking what was the reason school will get me so worked up? I guess it's the outcome that im always worried about, I'm not that smart so i'll probly have to study alot harder, and this anxiety and uncertainty will get me all worked up espiacially now that we're only left with a few months to EOY and O'levels. Whoo..all that could be a phobia.

Romans 8:28
28And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him,who have been called according to his purpose.

But God has taught me in that verse that even in the midst of all this uncertainty I am still at an advantage because God knows and understands the situation and has the loving power and will to guarantee that in the end it will all work out for the good. And I can confidently rest my uncertainty in His hands.

Trust and Obey. For theres no other way.

You can stand under my umbrella (Ella ella eh eh eh)

Indeed true joy comes from the Lord! Thank you Lord!

I would really want to thank the Lord for my midyear exam results which were not bad, think my parents trust me more now. Hooray!

This month I have learnt to really trust God with everything, school, friends, relationships….etc…. The target I had for this month was the really find the joy in living a Christian life, and also gladness and happiness. “If anyone in the world should experience gladness, it should be Christians!”
As I look back on my journal I found an entry that said “I do not really put much hope/get my hopes up in a lot of things so that when it does not work out or happen I will not get really disappointed, and in the end there is nothing to look forward to and I still remain disappointed” This was written at the start of the month and I remember I really sat down and prayed to God, asking Him to help me find joy in this life. And He did! In the next entry for my Qt. John 21:4-7 where God provided his disciples with the fish even in the most impossible situation. So God provides! That’s one reason we rejoice.

And in the next Qt which talked about blessings and joy which come from obedience and the difference between these and happiness is that blessings and joy are not circumstantial whereas happiness is. So happiness is a choice. And remembering those little moments of happiness(good), and knowing that heaven is going to be like super don’t know how many times better, I can’t imagine what heaven will be like :) . So that’s the second reason we rejoice.

Also had night cycling this month which got me thinking about some stuff on the way. About some of my close friends who chose to forgo God because their lives did not turn out the way they wanted to and thus they do not find joy. I was a little disheartened by their decision as what could compare to God’s love for us, and how He sent His son Jesus Christ to die on the cross for us. And I questioned God, why would he allow this to happen? And God answered me again :) through one of the Sunday school lessons on Romans 9 and 10 which said that man is responsible for his/her own actions and that man’s choice never affects God’s perfect plan. Maybe these friends of mine are just entering some phase in their life(not to be used as an excuse) that God has put in their life to demonstrate His glory. But I pray for them that they will reconsider their decision and turn back to God.

Joy, everyone is looking for it, and the “joy” this world has to offer is only momentarily, so imagine heaven where God is and where there is eternal joy!

Psalms 23:1-3

1 The Lord is my Shepard: I shall not want. 2 He makes me lie down in green pastures. He leads me beside still waters. 3 He restores my soul. He leads me in the paths of righteousness for his name’s sake
So rejoice! Because God is more than enough :)

Our Journey- James Macdonald
: The abundant, victorious, overcoming Christian life is so far superior to anything that a human being could ever experience, that is really not worthy to be compared to anything
